On her way to her car, Sarah tripped on the lawn and stumbled over. I can't remember why, but I stopped and went back to help her up. Maybe for repaying her misplaced kindness to me. I don't know.

She didn't exactly want my help, though. Big surprise there. I helped her up anyway and said "I wish you'd be more friendly with me." I grasped at her hand (the one holding the stone) and it seemed that my hand was close enough to the stone for my wish to be granted (although I had no idea that I had made a wish, I just sort of said it without thinking) and suddenly Sarah was more cooperative with me. She allowed me to help her up.

"Come on, get in," she said, pointing to her car.

"Huh?"

"Get in. I'll get you out of here."

Given the situation I was in, I agreed to her request and got in her car.

About ten minutes later, I was sitting in Sarah's bedroom. How's that for weird. I never thought that I would willingly go into Sarah's house, let alone her bedroom.

Sarah had gone downstairs to the kitchen. She said that she wanted to get me a drink. What was with her all of sudden?

When she came back up, she gave me the stone. Believe me when I say I was astounded. She asked me to think of a way to fix the situation with Liz and all. Wow, she really was being nice to me. But why? It didn't even occur to me that the wishing stone might have been involved, since Sarah was the one who was holding it the whole time.

But now I had the stone back. And it was time to fix the problem with Liz.
