Jon wasn't too concerned about Jennifer, but something about the situation was bothering him. He didn't know exactly how the wish had worked out, and the stone could be rather strange with the results it gave. He feared that the wording of his wish had set up some kind of roulette wheel of results. Who was Jennifer? He knew he wasn't - at least, he didn't feel like it - at the same time, he couldn't remember ever meeting her, or knowing the truth about who she was. This irked Jon, because he really wanted to know.

Later, he was sitting at the table, eating an apple, when his mom approached him with a strange request.

"Jon honey," she said nervously, "would you tell Jennifer that it's her night to walk the dog?"

Jon froze. "Tell who?"

"I'm sorry, I know you're still getting used to this, and you like to think of Jennifer as a seperate person, but it's so hard to talk to you this way. I know the doctor told us to be sensitive to your... condition... but I'd really appreciate it if one of you would walk the dog."

"Doctor?" Jon nearly choked, "what doctor?"

"The doctor who first diagnosed your... condition. Dr. Kepler, honey, your KMS."

KMS, he thought, and then he noticed the literature. Kepler's Metamorphic Syndrome. Put succinctly, the pamphlet said, First diagnosed by Dr. Erik Kepler, KMS is a condition wherein the subject actually physically transforms into another person, with a distinct personality, although memories are shared. Only one case has ever been medically substantiated, that of... Jon stopped reading. He knew the pamphlet was talking about him. Something within him began to stir. He felt his body changing itself, and he became dizzy.

He felt like a new person, not just physically, but mentally. She just stared at her reflection in the mirror, the reflection she recognized as being Jennifer.

"Sorry about that, mom," Jennifer said, "Jon wouldn't let me out. I hate how, as him, I'm always reluctant to change. I have just as much right to live as he does!"

"I know, honey," her mom said, "and I know it's touch on, erm, both of you... having to live a double life... but the procedure to correct this is still dangerous and untested."

"Mom, I told you, I don't want any procedure. Since Jon was the one you actually gave birth to, he'd be the body I'd be stuck with. I'm better off."

"I know, dear, I know," she said, "now go get changed and walk the dog. I told Jon he must always wear a bra in case of accidental transformation, but he never listens. You're developing very quickly for someone who's only around half the time!" her mom laughed a bit, softly.

"Oh and remember Mom, Liz and me are going to a party tonight!"

"Liz and I, dear," her mom corrected her, "Liz and I."
