"Would you be able to start at 2:30 all of next week?"
"Of course." Jennifer said. "But I would need the school to okay my leaving early."
"I'll call them first thing in the morning and arrange for it." Miss Shane said. "Do you think you will have any trouble getting into your uniform before you get here?"
"Our school has a new more lenient dress code. I can wear a skirt and top to school and then replace my blouse with the uniform as soon I get to the shop."
"You don't have a problem with that?" Miss Shane asked, a bit surprised.
"Of course not." Jennifer said. "I'll be in no later than quarter after two tomorrow."
As Jennifer hung up, Karyn looked at her friend as if he had grown a second head.
Across town, Miss Shane wondered once more about her newest employee.
