As Jon walked up the stairs, Jon's mother started screaming thru her tears.
"Stop! You can't go up there! She'll kill you!"
Jon was too blinded with his disgust, however, to listen. He gave her the finger without even looking to notice the meat cleaver that sprouted from her chest. As Jon entered his room, she died silently, unbeknownst to Jon.

Sarah sat on Jon's bed, playing with her father's gun. When she overheard Joan and Karen mention a wishing stone, she didn't believe it at first. But then, after school on her walk home, she heard Joan scolding her mother over some wish she made. Then like clockwork, Joan went unconsious after making a wish.
So, after a couple days, she tried to steal the rock. To her dismay, she realised the wish to make the stone dissappear had also been true. So, she went home and gor some of her father's "buddies" to punish Jon for "stealing her birthstone necklace." They set a date 34 days from the date she overheard to get the stone.

Jon opened the door to his room and saw Sarah. Instantly, the words his mother said made sence, but it was too late.
"What the he-"
BANG
No questions were asked. Sarah shot Jon in the head. He died instantly. Smiling, Sarah searched thru his belongings and found the stone. However, when she tried to grab it, there was a bright flash and Sarah's hand felt and looked like she let it roast in a fire.
"Damn him! So I can't take it. Well..."
She ordered her fathers goons to take it, but one after the other, a similar event happened. Exasperated, they left to burn down the house.

Mikey, the late Jon's brother, managed to break the bonds that held him to his bed. Fortunately for him, before they could dispose of him without calling any attention to anyone, they left him bound and gagged in his room.
Fortunately, his mom had let him take karate classes and, since he just gained the black belt, his mom got him some ninja stars. He used them now to cut his bonds.
Sneaking out of his room quietly, he saw most of the goons rushing downstairs. Hoping to save his brother, he crept to Jon's room to try to hinder Sarah (they cut the phone lines and, he is the invincible 13 yo after all). Opening the door, he found, not Sarah, but the shocked corpse of his brother.
Mikey fell to his knees and wept bitterly. He also noticed the stone. Not long after Joan's wish, he had found the letter from his grandfather about the stone. He thought it was just his grandfather being senile at the time, but he grabbed it to remember Jon with.
Absently, thru choked sobs, he said, "I wish..."
