Jon's mom went out the back entrance to the kitchen muttering something about needing a cigarette. Once she was gone, all the kitchen workers couldn't hold back their laughter.
Among the laughter, Jon could hear things like "He doesn't fill that out nearly as well as Karen does" and "I don't know, he just looks so cute in pink!" Despite this, Jon didn't feel embarrassed at all, so he calmly asked the nearest cook for an order of bacon and eggs (he really was hungry, and he figured that using the rock on an empty stomach is what got into this mess).
Taking the bacon and eggs out of the kitchen towards his room, Jon still didn't feel embarrassed when all of the dinners saw him. Some just snickered, others sat looking offended, and unless he was misreading some of them, some looked at him with lust in their eyes. Through it all, Jon felt completely comfortable with himself walking through a room full of strangers wearing Karen's waitress uniform.
Jon made it up to his room, and decided that before he tried to fix anything he would need to talk to Karen, and try to figure out what happened to the week, and before he called Karen, he really was hungry and should eat his breakfast.
