Jon decided to try not to press his luck and make things worse, so instead he slipped the rock into his apron pocket and walked out into the diner. Jon stopped a minute, fearing a reaction, but none came. There were only a few people in the diner at this time in the morning, so Jon just walked up to the nearest, an older man, who seemed to be quite happy.
"Ah, here you are... I was starting to wonder if they served food here." The man said in a pleasent tone. Jon decided to just pull from memory what the waitress' had always said to him when he dined out.
"What can I get for you this morning, Sir?" Jon asked as he opened up his pad.
Jon helped the few people who were there this morning and the few other people who came in durring the rest of the earlt afternoon. Jon soon had a little system that was working great for him, and he was in a zone. He was getting great tips and was kinda having fun... when Karen walked in.
"J...Jon?" Karen spat as she looked around the diner that she knew was Jon's Living room only the day before. She also knew her friend didn't often wear womens clothes... but then again...who knew what he did in his spare time.
"Oh, Karen... You have got to help me..." Jon started as Jon's mother walked up behind him.
"Jon, dear." She said "You need to help the couple at table 3... you can talk to Karen when you get off in a half hour." she then patted him on his rear as she smiled to Karen.
"Jon," Karen said "You do what you have to... I'll be more than happy to wait."
