Jon saw a waitress coming in the reflection of the compact and closed it and put it back int he purse and tried to look normal. Which never works because yuo are "trying" to look normal.
Karen Came up and places a couple plates containing Jon's breakfast on the table. Jon looked up and immedately smiled. "Karen!"
Karen looked a bit stunned, "Do I know you?"
"Sit down I'll explain" Jon motioned to the empty seat on the other end of the table
"I..I can't. I'd get fired if I sit down with a customer. and I have others too and-" Karen explained.
Jon looked up and tried to look as much like him as he could. "I'll give you $2,000 to sit down with me. Cash. Please."
"uh...um...ok" Karen uneasily sits across from her disquised friend.
"Karen, I'm Shel-" Jon stops mid sentence noticably stunned that he almost said Shelly instead of him own name. "Sorry, I mean, I'm Shel..Sh-hh-h-.....I'm Shell-" Jon spit out trying to say his own name. But the rock was keeping him from it. It made him Shelly and was holding him to it.
"Ok one more time," He said to him self, "I'm Shelly"
Karen stared at him.
"That's....nice" Karen replied. "If you don't mind, I really need to help my other customers"
Crap, Jon thought, how was he going to tell her who he was?
