Jon's panic almost caused him to drop the baby. He managed to hold on to her as he looked down at his chest.
Jon really wasn't sure what he expected to see, but it looked as if nothing had changed. He was still a boy, no super large breasts had magically appeared upon his chest.
Still holding the rock, he adjusted his hold on the baby to make them both more comfortable; allowing the rock to touch the baby. 'She is using me like a pacifier.' Jon concluded.
The baby, who had until recently been Karen was hungry. She wanted to eat. At some instinctive level she knew that food should be coming from the thing in her mouth, but it wasn't. She sucked harder, wishing that it would start working. Her efforts were rewarded.
As Jon tried to relax he felt a bit uncomfortable holding the young baby. He shifted his position once more, wondering at the strange feeling that was coming from his breast as the baby sucked upon it.
'Well at least she is quiet.' he thought to himself. 'I wish that I was more comfortable with her.' He added.
Unnoticed to Jon, the rock warmed for an instant.
After about fifteen minutes the baby emptied the one breasts. She was a bit fussy, due to a gas bubble in her stomach. Jon sat her up, not noticing the swelling in his breast and said, "Now what do you need?"
He had bounced her just a little bit as he asked that question. As if to answer the baby give out a large, and unladylike burp.
"I guess you answered my question, didn't you?" Jon said as he lay the baby back down, this time using his other arm to hold her.
The baby once more latched on to Jon's breasts and started sucking. Jon, now comfortable with this, just let her do so.
After another fifteen minutes, the baby empty the second breast. While not stuffed, she was at least satisfied with her meal.
After burping the baby, Jon lay the now sleeping child back into her crib.
