"So, what are you saying? That this thing can grant any wish?" Zoe asked, pointing at the stone in Karyn's hand. Both girls were standing in Jon's bedroom. Jon's mother was at the police precinct, demanding that the cops do their jobs and find her two missing sons.
"Yeah, except the ones that I want right now," Karyn answered, clearly frustrated. "For some reason, it won't tell me where Jon is or what happened to him. I'm really getting worried."
"Tell me about it. I still don't know where Athena and Zelda are, and the cops aren't helping any."
"Yeah, but they're not the only ones who went missing. Sarah and Biff are gone. Jon's next door neighbor, and a ton of other people too. I just know that the wishing stone is responsible for all of this, but the stupid thing won't help me find him."
"Well, maybe you're going about this all wrong. Instead of wishing to know stuff, maybe you can wish to be wherever Jon is."
"That's ... not such a bad idea. But I should make sure that stone comes with me."
"What's this "me" crap? I'm coming with you. I need to find Athena and Zelda," Zoe said.
"Okay, fine. I guess that's fair," Karyn said. She held up the stone and said "I wish Zoe and me would go to wherever Jon is right now, and that the wishing stone would come with us." The stone glowed, then ...
