I grabbed the book and made my way back into the main room, smiling for the first time in awhile when I saw Chad straining to reach the bong. When he saw me, he quickly put his arm down, trying to play it off. It wouldn't have been funny normally, but Chad's incredibly size seemed humorous at the time. I made my way over to him and pointed at the book.
"Yea, thats the one. It's kind of a strange book. Everyone thinks her singing has the power to destroy demons or something strange. Hey, do you think you could help me take a bong load to the knot? I REALLY need one. You can get one, too, I have plenty." I nodded at him in agreement, but my mind was still focused on what he previously said. If Julie thought that the girl I was now could destroy demons with her voice, then Stone Julie probably accepted it as fact. Why Stone Julie would turn me into something that could destroy her, I don't know. Maybe it was Julie doing some work on the inside. Just then, a knock came at the door.
"Kuaren! Purna rupa skatora" I mumbled, as I made my way to the door. I just now started to notice how my hips swayed strangely as I walked. I had a feeling I'd be noticing a lot of strange little differances here and there. I tried to look through the peephole in the door, but found my size wasn't adequate. The knock came again and I swung the door open to reveal Karyn. She looked down at me quizically. All of a sudden, I felt really embarrassed and silly being seen like this. I thought it would be alright, but I could tell I was blushing very badly, and I soon looked down, unable to make eye contact. Karyn looked at the number on the door and back at me several times.
"I'm sorry, I must have the wrong address." She said
"Koi nahin." I said, shaking my head to back up my speech.
"Is that Karyn?" Chad's husky voice asked from the den.
"Han!" I shouted.
"Okay, what the hell does that mean?!" He shouted back. Karyn, hearing Chad's voice, entered the apartment. She walked right past me, toward Chad's voice. When she entered the den, she let out a giant gasp.
"Oh, my god! How did this happen? Where's Jon?" She looked around the apartment, but I could tell she was just trying to keep her eyes off of the grotesque Chad. Chad lifted a chubby finger and pointed it at me.
"That's Jon." As he said it, Karyn looked over at me and put her hand to her mouth. Once again, feelings of supreme embarrassment shot through my body like electricity. By the look in Karyn's eyes, I thought she was going to faint, so I was surprised and kind of mad when she errupted in a fit of laughter.
"You're so cute, Jon! Why the hell did you turn into a little Indian girl?" As she spoke she walked over to me and bent over to my eye height. "Such beautiful eyes, traditional make-up..."
"Pichhe ka hissa!!" I said angerly, scowling my face into a sour expression.
"Haha, thats adorable! You sound so funny. Now, start speaking english, so I can understand you." She stood back up and waited, staring down at me. I sighed, hoping the look of defeat on my face got across.
"Whats...whats wrong?" She asked.
"Thats the problem. Long story short, my girlfriend Julie melded with that creepy magic stone thing, turned us into what you see now, and went out to wreak havoc on the world." explained Chad.
"What?! Wheres the stone now?" Karyn implored, getting noticably uncomfortable.
"Embedded in the chest of Julie. Err, the stone Julie. Stone Julie, I guess." Replied Chad. Karyn buried her face in her hands as everything started to come to her at once. I walked over to Karyn and hugged her middle. Just then, the eerie voice of Stone Julie flooded my mind.
"Your presence is needed." The words spoke, blaring over my own thoughts. A second later, my body felt light and my vision blurred...
