Looking around, Karyn figured that this particular restroom would be a fairly private place to 'talk' with Jon... her clothes, for a while.

"Geeze, I wish I didn't have to talk out loud for you to be able to hear me..." Karen cringed momentarily, and swore she could feel her clothes do just the same, but once the stone's warmth had subsided she didn't really find anything all that different.

'Karyn?' Karyn heard Jon in her head, so she responded in kind.

'Jon? Can you hear me?' It was kind of weird, talking without moving her mouth, but she found that she could do it with very little actual concentration so long as she knew she was doing it.

'Yeah... do you realize how stupid that was, just wishing out loud without thinking about it!?'

Karyn was about to protest, when she thought of something, 'Hey, how did you know I didn't think about it?'

Jon gave the mental equivilant of a snort, 'As soon as you said it you just locked up, like you were expecting something horrible to happen, which it could have.'

Karyn blushed just slightly, a sensation that she seemed to be becoming more and more familiar with lately, 'Yeah, but it didn't. But you're right, I really should think before I wish. But I also can't let it fall into the wrong hands! If I just leave this stupid thing somewhere, somebody could come by and take it without my knowing, and if I kept it on me I could accidentally make another wish I didn't mean!'

'Yeah, I know what you mean...' Jon was silent for a second as Karyn turned the stone over in her hand a couple times, considering it. 'I know! Just wish that you knew a failproof way of keeping it out of other peoples' hands while still being able to get to it and use it yourself!'

Karyn thought about this for a second, 'What about you?'

'Karyn, I hardly count as a "people" right now...'

Karyn internally groaned a bit, but nodded. 'Okay, I'll wish it.'

Quietly, she started talking to the stone. "I wish...
