"Beats me," the new Jenny stalled. "It must have been some left-over energy from whatever changed me into a girl."
Of course, Jon/Jenny knew full well what had happened. Nicole had wished that Jenny looked more feminine and less boyish, and Jon had silently seconded her wish.
"I wouldn't mind some of that left-over energy myself," Sarah confided.
"Why? It seems you already have plenty of hair and makeup," Jenny observed innocently.
"Let me tell you something about us girls, Jenny. We always wish we had an inch more, or an inch less, of a few pounds more or less somewhere. We wish we had a certain beauty mark, or didn't. We wish our hair was curlier or straighter. It's always something."
"Well, you look pretty good to me as you are," Jenny told Sarah, who by then was completely undressed and not particularly worried about it.
"Oh, they're not things you'd notice right away. I wish I didn't need to wear contacts, for example. I wish I were a little taller, especially in the legs. I wish I could eat more than two rice cakes a day and still hold this weight. I wish I didn't have to shave my legs and wax my bikini area. I wish I was good enough at volleyball or track to be an athlete rather than a cheerleader. Stuff like that."
"Well, I wish your wishes would come true tonight," Jenny remarked.
"Yeah, as if that's likely, but thanks" Sarah replied.
"So when and where is this sleepover going to be?" Jenny asked.
"Friday, after the football game, at my house," Sarah explained. "You know, right across the street from yours. Uh, I don't suppose you have much of a lingerie collection yet, but you might want to get yourself something fancy, lacy, teensy, and weensy. The girls kinda try and outdo each other on that, y'know."
"OK, thanks," said Jenny, thinking much more about what she might see than about what she might show. "I'll be there."
"C'mon, we're gonna be late," Sarah urged, then both girls headed for the gym, pulling on their sports bras and briefs along the way.
