It was bound to happen to Jon sooner or later. Jon was going to gym class as a girl.

The clothes themselves weren't all that different. Except, of course, that the body (and underwear) under them was very different. Jon wasn't sure what changing room she should go into, and eventually decided on the girls' locker room. Using the guys' room would mean Jon had to worry about the guys staring; using the girls' room would mean the girls would have to worry about Jon staring, and not the other way around.

Jon opened the door and tried not to look at the half-naked girls too much. Not that she would see anything she couldn't see on herself.

Unfortunately, several girls noticed Jon and were blocking her way.

"Would you mind?" asked Jon. "I have to get dressed."

"You don't belong here," said Nicole. She pointed to the sign on the door, which read 'women.' "You're not a woman," she said.

"I hate to tell you this," said Jon, "but it's a surprise to me too. I certainly am one." Jon removed her shirt right then and there, and tried to remove her bra as Nicole pushed Jon's hands away from her chest. "I don't want to see a guy strip in here," she said.

"I told you, some mysterious force changed me into a girl! I'm a girl now!"

"You do that voice good," said Nicole, "but not good enough."

"Leave her alone," said Sarah McMillan. "I think Jon's telling the truth."

Nicole hesitated and Jon twisted away from Nicole and took her bra off, showing her breasts and making it very obvious to all concerned that Jon was indeed a girl now. "Look!" she yelled. See! Breasts. How can I fake this?

Jon then walked all the way into the locker room, past several shocked girls, and said "Thanks, Sarah. Uhh..."

"Yes?" replied Sarah.

"Why is it you're being so nice to me?"

"Let me tell you how it goes," said Sarah. "You know people treat girls and guys differently."

"Well, yes. Some of the time."

"Well, now is one of the times. So it's like you're a new girl in school. Suddenly there's someone else who can try out for the cheerleading team, or play other girls' sports, or steal someone's boyfriend, or who we can go to the mall shopping for clothes with, or go to sleepovers with, or things like that."

"But you know I was a guy. Everyone knows I was a guy. I wouldn't do any of those things anyway. I'm just like myself, except as a girl."

"Why wouldn't you?" asked Sarah. If you want to go for sports it has to be girls' sports. If you're going to the mall for clothes, it has to be girls' clothes. And if I were you, and I wanted to go to a party, I know I wouldn't refuse to go to an all-girl one."

"Well, I don't steal boyfriends. I'm still me! I still like girls."

"Then you're a lesbian. Do you really think girls act towards lesbians like they do towards guys?"

"So, Sarah, you're being nice to me because you want to be friends with me?"

"Well, sort of. It's really because I want...."
