He was just about to complain again, when Karen said..."What's your problem now?"
"Look Karen, I know that you think that I must need to learn some sort of lesson here, but I don't see how embarrasing every guy in the school is going to do it. Besides, some of the girls in the school are every bit as sexist as the guys," reasoned an increasingly desperate Jon.
"What do you mean, sexist? None of the girls are as sexist as those jocks on the football team. The girls that they date are more like victims than dates, because ten minutes later, as you know full well, there are stories floating all over school about how this guy got into that girl's pants, and which girl blew what guy. Girls don't spread stories like that, and by the way, most of the stories you hear are grossly exaggerated any way," replied a defensive Karen.
Jon could see her point. He knew that a fair few of the stories spread about were most likely exaggerations or just plain fabrications. But hat didn't mean that all the girls were pure and innocent. "Karen, what about some of the cheerleaders, surely not all the stories about them are made up? You know they put out, and what's more, they brag about it too. Didn't you tell me that Susan McMillan had a score sheet on the wall of one of the girl's toilets showing who she did and even rating them? Come on Karen, I know you rate guys by how well they kiss, you've even told me about some of them."
Karen began to doubt her resolve. Jon was right, there were some girls who were probably every bit as bad as the guys when it came to being sexist pigs, or is that sows? Not that she thought for one second that she herself would fall into that category.
"Jon, you may have a point there. But as you know, you guys are locked into wearing skirts for the month because I can't reverse the wish," explained Karen.
"Jon pointed out, "that's true, but you could wish that the girl's uniform was exactly the same as the boys one, so that we didn't have to wear skirts and stuff."
Karen argued, "But that wouldn't fix the nails, makeup or leg shaving and so on, would it?"
"No, but I'm sure that if you give me the stone, I can work something out," pleaded Jon.
"Hmmmm," Karen thought for a moment, she was almost prepared to give in and let Jon try to fix things when she got an idea. Maybe it would be good for the girls to see things from the guys side too. But rather than just make everything seem normal to everybody like most of the wishes do if you don't hear them, make it so everybody knows that they have been changed, but so that they can't do anything about it. "Jon, rather than go back to normal, would you be up for a little experiment?"
"That depends, do I have to stay dressed like a fag?" asked Jon.
"Well, you will have to stay in girl's clothes, but you won't look out of place or wierd at all, and if it makes your chioce any easier, I'll be wearing guys clothes for the whole month too. So what do you say, do you trust me?"
Jon wasn't too keen to have to stay in those clothes for a whole month, however, a magic rock was something that really needed to be experimented with, and if he said he trusted Karen, it would go a long way toward him making a move on her. After all, he had had the hots for Karen for years, though he had never had the nerve to act. Maybe this could be a good thing after all. What should he say...?
