Morning came too soon.
Jennifer lay in bed. A part of her was embarrassed and upset that she was having feeling about Roy. But that was a small part. A much larger part of her was fantasying about spending time with Roy. It was too early to think of love and marriage, but in a small corner of her mind, she began to think about marrying Roy.
After an enjoyable (but no where near as enjoyable as last night) half hour in bed, Jennifer rose and did her morning ritual before dressing and helping her mother with their weekly house cleaning and general chores, something that Jon tried really hard to get out of doing.
As the morning passed into early afternoon, Jennifer found that she liked spending time with her mother and actually felt good about how well she did various cleaning jobs around the house.
As the chores were nearly done, Roy called. Jennifer's mother, who was closest to the phone, answered it.
"It is for you Jennifer. He says his name is Roy." She said, holding the phone for her daughter.
Blushing a bit, Jennifer hurried (trying hard not to appear as if she was hurrying) to the phone. Before she could talk, her mother added. "The cleaning is almost done. You have done a good job. You can stop now and talk with Roy."
Knowing not to look a gift horse in the mouth, Jennifer said, "Thanks Mom. You are my favorite mother."
"I am you only mother." She said, laughing as her daughter took the cordless phone and left the room.
"Hi Roy." Jennifer said as she flopped down upon her bed. The two teens quickly began talking as young teens who are exploring the possibilities of young love do. Thus an hour later of solid talking they had not really said anything other than Roy would be over later and they would go hang out at the mall "or something".
