"Fine." Karyn said. "I wish that Jennifer's hair was in a long, sort of attractive feminine style and that Shane is able to fit Jennifer in on Saturday, which is tomorrow, if Jennifer calls in the next ten minutes."
Jon, now known as Jennifer, knew that she needed to call for an appointment. Brushing her now much longer hair back over her shoulder, Jennifer picked up her Princess phone (what over type would the phone be??) and called Shane's House of Beauty.
"Shane's House of Beauty, this is Casey, how may we help you?" A bright, feminine voice answered after the second ring.
"Afternoon Casey, this is Jennifer Thomas, I am sorry for the last minute of this, but I was wondering if you could fit me in for a full appointment tomorrow? I was thinking about a new hair style, getting my ears pierced, getting my nails, both finger and toe, done, and a full body waxing. Can you fit me in on such short notice?
"You are like so lucky, Jennifer. We just found out that we are like getting a new person starting tomorrow. If you don't like mind you will be Ruby E. O's first customer. And we are like running a special, a half off for a friend deal, if you have like a friend who can come in with you, she can like get the same package for only half price."
"Casey, that sounds just perfect. Karyn and I will both be in. What time is our appointment?"
"Well, Jennifer, Ruby E. O has like an open schedule right now, what like works best for you?"
Jon was much more of a morning person than was Karyn. Jennifer figured that hadn't changed so she said, "Casey, why don't we take the first appoint you have open."
"You are like a morning person, aren't you Jennifer. I am too. I just can't understand people who have like trouble getting up before nine in the morning."
"I so know what you mean, Casey." Jennifer said, actually enjoying the conversation. The day is almost over when my mom manages to finish enough coffee to be awake on her own."
"My mom is like the same way, Jennifer. I have you and Karyn booked for eight a.m. We do have like coffee and tea for those who aren't like as awake as they should be first thing in the morning. See you tomorrow, Jennifer."
"Bye, Casey. See you tomorrow." Jennifer concluded and hung up the phone.
Turning to Karyn, Jennifer smiled, "Well Karyn, we have appointments for the works first thing tomorrow morning."
"We?" Karyn asked, "First thing, how early is 'first thing'?"
"Yes, we have eight a.m. appointments for the works tomorrow at Shane's House of Beauty. And yes Karyn, there is an eight a.m. on Saturday morning." Jennifer said, giving her friend a nice smile.
"You are an evil person, you know that don't you?" Karyn replied.
"Me?" Jennifer innocently responded. "Me? Evil? Now why would you think that?"
"I think you are getting into this girl thing a bit too much." Karyn concluded.
"They will have coffee." Jennifer offered as a peace offering, "Strong coffee."
"Eight a.m. it is." Karyn accepted.
The two girls spent the rest of the evening looking at teen magazines, trying to decide what hair style they would choice in the morning.
Again Jennifer enjoyed herself.
