"Come on, Jennifer, you know Mom is going to flip out again when she sees you like this again," Zoe said as soon as Jon sat down.
"What are you talking about?" Jon asked in a way-too-feminine tone. She quickly lowered her voice again. "Uh, what are you talking about?"
"Cut the act, Jen," Zoe said. "Why can't you act normal and just be my sister for a change?"
Jon felt uncomfortable almost immediately. She felt rejected and hurt.
