gave the stone to Kevin.

Kevin held the stone in his hand and said, "I had to explain it to Mom. I told her that this was fake hair and breasts. Well, why don't I just use the stone to really make it like that? I never said I wanted the hair and breasts to be real, so if they're fake it wouldn't reverse the wish."

"Hmm," said Jon, thinking the idea over. "I think that would work. But before you do it, would you mind trying one thing?"

"What?" asked Kevin.

"Try to take off the hair and breasts, right now?"

"Huh?"

"Just try it."

Kevin tried to pull off the hair, but it didn't come off.

"Wait, I think I see something," said Jon. "Like glue. You probably need water to get it off."

Kevin went off to use the restroom and came out with wet brownish hair and holding the fake hair and breasts. "It really worked!" he said. "How did you know that?"

"It's easy," said Jon. "When I make a wish, reality changes. It's as if whatever you wished for had always been true. If those were real, then you would have always have had long blonde hair and big breasts. And your mother would have remembered you growing up with them. She wouldn't have seen anything strange about them."

"But," continued Jon, "your mother did think they were strange. So the new reality couldn't have been that you grew up with them. The new reality must have been that you just got them. Unless Eric and Keith invented a breast size ray, that means they're fake."

"I'm glad," said Keith. "What would Sarah think if I went on a date with her with copies of her own hair and breasts?"

Jon choked. "Sarah McMillan?"

"Oh, come on," said Kevin. "We've been going out for a while. I know you don't like her, but she's not that bad, at least when she's trying to impress me."

"Give me the rock," said Jon.

Kevin handed it over. "You're not going to wish that we're not dating, are you?"

"No, I'm not. I, um... wish you remembered things from before I changed you."

Kevin clutched his head. "Jon!" he yelled. "How could you! Making me a guy...."

"It was just a joke. I wasn't thinking about it. Let me fix it. I wish that Kevin is normally male, but male with the magical ability to change sex at will, including clothes."

Kevin said, "Does that work?" He concentrated and shimmered, and turned female. "Yes!" yelled Karyn, or rather Kevin, whose name hadn't actually changed back.

"Have fun on your date," said Jon.

"What?"

"If Sarah's nicer because she's going out with you and she doesn't want you to think she's a bitch, then we can't just wish the date away, right?"

"Give me the stone," said Kevin, changing back to male. "I can always make you date her instead. She'd be nicer to impress you just as much as to impress me."

"Calm down, Karyn," said Jon. "We've got to figure out what to do. Any hasty wishes can mean trouble."

"Yeah, you're right," said Kevin. "Maybe we should...."
