Jon (in Kelly's body) stood in shock. His mother thought he was his sister. What was he going to do?
Well, making a brash wish probably wasn't the best option, but that's what Jon did.
"I just wish we could swap bodies," Jon said to himself, meaning swapping bodies with his sister. He knew that wishes couldn't be reversed. He was just saying it as wishful thinking, not actually making a real wish. But it did get granted as a real wish, but not to Jon and Kelly. Instead, it was granted to Jon and his mom.
Jon looked down at the groceries he was holding. He was his mom now. And his mom was his sister Kelly, who was displaying a confused and horrified expression on her face.
"What?! What's happened to me?!"
"Mom, just settle down," Jon said. It was weird hearing his mom's voice coming out of his mouth. "I ... I can fix this."
"What did you do now, Jon?" Kelly (in Jon's body) said, walking into the kitchen.
This confused their mom even more, which made her say "I wish I knew what was going on!" She was holding the stone, so her wish was granted.
