"What the he..!!!" Karyn exclaimed as..... nothing happened.
Which was a shame, because Jon's idea had almost worked. But Meg had already wished the girls around the school into lesbians. Karyn couldn't have turned into a man or been in love with a male Jon, and still be a lesbian. Meg didn't use the exact word 'lesbian', so a clever wisher might have found a way around this, but Jon wasn't clever enough.
Karyn said "There's a guy coming our way, Jon. Look right behind you! You'll want to look and become lovers."
"No I don't," replied Jon. But there was no time to think of a better wish. Wait, there was one thing... Unlikely, but there was a chance. He had once wished that anyone who called Meg something would turn into that. That wish was every bit as good as this wish, so if the two wishes had opposite results, it was possible the other wish would win out. If he was really lucky, Karyn's wish might even be completely gone.
Jon turned around to see a guy coming towards him. He was far away and Jon couldn't make out exactly who it was, but Jon already felt himself compelled to approach him. He knew what he would do once he had gotten there.
"Meg" yelled out Jon. "You're a girl!"
There was a pause before anything happened. Jon imagined the stone trying to figure out if it should make Jon a girl, according to the first wish, or keep him male, according to the second wish. Finally Jon began to grow breasts, felt himself shrink slightly, felt his clothes alter, felt his penis retract into his body to leave a vagina.... She was a girl now, and everyone except him and Karyn thought she was always one. Karyn's wish was impossible. But Jon still felt the compulsion and realized that while Karyn's wish couldn't completely happen, as much of it would happen as was still possible. He, or rather, she, would still become lovers with that guy.
The now-female Jon ran towards him....
