"I just remembered that it WAS a magic rock that put the spell on you. Someone used it to make a wish," Candice said.
"What kind of wish? Who would do this to me?"
"It was Jon, your cousin's friend. He did it so people would leave you alone."
"I know he had good intentions, but this is a little too far, don't you think?" asked Meg. Although, if the spell hadn't been put on her, Candice wouldn't be her friend now.
"Yeah." Candice thought to herself for a moment. "Hey, maybe we can get that rock from him and make it so that I stay like this forever."
"Good idea."
"Where did you see them last?"
"Out front. But they're probably gone by now. We can't leave until school is over, anyway."
"Good point."
Meg and her best friend Candice went through the day, in their minds planning how they're going to get that rock.
Meanwhile, outside, Jon and Karyn were STILL there. Jon didn't want to drive around with Karyn in her "new form", so he decided to wait the six hours and then leave. But, the six hours ended AFTER school was over, so Meg did actually have an opportunity to use the rock before Candice turned back to normal.
