Jon still had no idea what was going on so he shooed Zoe out and got ready, whilst he finished reading, what the letter told him was unbelievable, because The New England Academy for Gifted Individuals was in fact a very special school, the scholarship included a process which would activate some inner part of his true self, allowing him to become something he's always fantasised about.
It was a School for Superheroes and super-villains, apparently Jon and his sister had the meta-gene and the school would help that gene to activate and guide them on their life journey towards being Future Superheroes or Villains of America. Jon and Zoe as ell as the other New Starts were to report to the Awakening Centre in Berlin New England, from there they would be sorted into Dormitories that catered to their specific powers and Intentions - according to the letter potential Villains and Heroes were often housed in the same Dorms, referred to as Houses, there was Six Houses, Lee, Kirby, Kane, Buscema, Moulton and Ditko, The Main Teaching Blocks were Siegal Hall of Science and Shuster Humanities Building. All in all it looked to be an incredible opportunity!
Jon decided to let this run it's course, however, as a safety precaution he made a couple of wishes that allowed him to store the Wishing stone in a pocket dimension safe-place that only he could access and also wished that if anyone else made a wish on the stone he could veto or alter the wish before it had any effect, he also wished that if reality changed due to a wish he would know what had changed, regardless of whether or not he heard the wish. He then popped the stone in it's bx into the Safe Place and began to prepare for his trip.
About half an hour after that happened he heard Karyn calling up the stairs, when she came up she had a letter in her hand, Jon recognised the Coat of arms on it as did Zoe who was just coming out of her room, grinning wider than anyone had ever seen her smile in a long time.
"Hey Jon! i just heard Athena is coming too..oh Hi Karyn, you going to Super School too huh? Hey Jonny Bro, Your BGFF (Best Girlfriend Forever) is gona be a Super too, maybe she will be your Nemesis or something hehehe"
"No way Sis, she's gonna be Susan to my Reid, except I won't be such a dick to her as Reid is to Sue, Hey Kar, Great news huh?!"
"There is no way I'm going to be some insipid doormat to an egomaniac, so you can shelve that dumb idea Mr Fantastic...Not!" Karyn teased, smiling broadly as she came up and gave the siblings an exultant hug of sheer joy.
The excited teens spent the next few hours in preparation, Karyn lived next door so when the Limo arrived she and the Gibsons ran out, already in the huge limo were Athena De Vries, Jay Duncan and Gladys Brewer ( School Witch Queen, School Boy Genius and School Popular Clique Punching Bag respectively).
Hellos were made, everyone was very excited and speculations were made as to what kind of supers they would become, everyone teased Athena that she would become an Evil Sorceress , Gladys, more vocal than the overweight girl normally was just wanted to become pretty and have a cool power so she wouldn't be a victim any more, Jay gave her a hug and told her that assholes that picked on others were just losers, Gladys smiled back at the skinny little nerd shyly, obviously not used to people standing up for her. Athena surprised them all when she said that she was cool with becoming some sort of Dark, Mysterious Heroine, maybe like a female Dr Strange or The Scarlet Witch.
After a shot time they arrived at the local airport and boarded the private plane that had been chartered for them, there were about ten other kids from the county that Jon and his friends did not know. During the trip they go to know a few of them, mostly a decent enough bunch except for one guy that seemed a bit full of himself and his twin sister who was an even worse bitch than Sarah MacMillan, they were sort of shunned by the other kids, apparently the twins were the children of a notorious Super Villain - Dr Hellgrave, an Evil Genius/Mage type .Hearing this, Jon began to realise that as fun as this was, he was now living in a world where previous Alumni of The Academy were rampaging across the country having epic battles and doing crazy things, he remembered how badly Metropolis got ripped up in Man of Steel and how badly whole cities all over the world got destroyed in the Avengers Assemble movie, and let's not forget what happened to that town in Age of Ultron. Jon began to really understand that this new world was dangerous.
