"You have five seconds," Boris said. "Five."
I looked at the gun.
"Four."
It looked real big.
"Three."
Fucking big.
"I can't give it to you now! I can get it though." My dad said in desperation.
"I don't beleive you. Two."
"Please, it's the truth," my dad said.
The guy was gonna shoot me. Oh no. Please it can't end like this!
"One."
I could feel sweat beding on my forehead. Upstairs was the stone. If I could get the stone I could stop these guys. I watched Boris' mouth. It started to move. I knew what he was going to say. He had this cruel little smile on his lips.
"Zero. Time's up."
Terror. Bowl freazing, gut wrenching, lung stopping terror. Borris pulled the trigger.
Getting shot in the head does not hurt. Not a bit. It is over in an instant. I didn't even get to say good bye. There may have been a ray of light. I can't remember. I just remember nothing.

I opened my eyes. Looked up at Karyn. My head was sore. Really sore. Karyn looked like she had been crying a lot.
"Are you ok?" Karyn asked with deep concern.
"I think so." I sat up and touched my forehead. There was a really large bullet hole there. "Um am I dead?" I felt kinda weird. Like my body was all leaden.
"Yeah. IUndead I guess. I tried to wish you back to life but it didn't work. So I wished you to be a zombie. One of the undead." Karyn said.
"A zombie? Oh man. How long have I been dead?" I asked. It was strange. There was something chewie in my mouth. I spat it out. You don't want to know what it was. I was hungry too. I looked at Karyn and wandered what her brains would taste like. Not a good thought really.
"About a week. The police sealed your house off. I had to break in and find the stone, then... well you know the rest. Your folks are missing." Karyn said, passing me the stone. "What happened?"
"Borris and Natasha. They were after a formul -" My jaw dropped off. I picked it up and put it back in my mouth. "Formula. Man my body is really decomposed. I wish you'd made me into a vampire like Vampirella or something..." Yeah. I was holding the stone.
