After Zoe got off the phone, she couldn't wait to hit Jon up to use the stone she had told him about earlier...well, it's not like he TOLD her, but when you live in a house with someone, you just find things out easier.
Zoe was still in awe after spying on her big brother. She had always been a wicca/goth kind of girl, but to find out about magic...REAL magic was just blowing her mind. However, after approaching Jon later, he seemed to pretend not to know about the rock, then after some pressue, told her some lame excuse about 'losing' the rock. Yeah, right, like she was going to believe that one.
Jon only had one friend, Karyn. Zoe was determined Jon gave it to her out of love or some crap like that. So she slithered out late at night to Karyn's, proceeded to sneak inside (Jon had Karyn's spare key), and found the rock on Karyn's nightstand.
Zoe could feel the power in her hands.
