After Sarah put on Jon's T-shirt and jeans, the glazed look in her eyes vanished.
"Mikey? Did you want something?" she asked.
"What?"
"You looked like you wanted to tell me something."
"No."
Sarah shrugged. "Well, tell Mom I'll be out for a while," she said, moving past him.
"Wait. Where are you going?"
"I'm just going over to Karyn's house to hang out." She looked at Mikey strangely, wondering why her little brother was acting so inquisitive. Then she walked downstairs and out of the house.
It seemed that his wish affected more people than just Jon. But if there was one positive thing, it was that Sarah took Jon's place, instead of someone else's. Jon already thought he was someone else anyway, so the wish "circle" had been completed.
Unknown to Mikey, it was much more positive than he thought. Jon and Sarah were the only ones who thought they were other people. In fact, they thought that they were each other.
Mikey hadn't planned to give Jon's clothes to Sarah, but he was sure glad he did, or else his wish could have gone on indefinitely, changing dozens, if not hundreds, of lives.
