Mikey entered the classroom, to find not Mrs. Donaldson but Richy, the school's bully since Mikey had changed Fred Orr, teaching the class. Mikey gaped for a moment, realizing his wish must have had a chain reaction of some sort, causing the displaced person to displace another and so on.
Richy turned to Mikey, and asked him in a tone completely unlike his former self what Mikey was doing here. Startled, Mikey managed to hand her the papers, which Richy filled out in elegant handwriting and returned to him. On his way back, Mikey passed his own class as they walked down the hall to music. He noticed that the secretary, Ms. Nygen, was towering amongst them in a T shirt and shorts, doing her best to look intimidating.
Upon returning to the principal's office, Mikey noticed the secretary's seat was now occupied by a blond girl around Jon's age. He came in to find Jon fixing his hair, which had lengthened to reach halfway down his neck, into a tight bun behind his head.
Jon set the boy back to work, and Mikey spent the rest of his second hour in the office stamping the papers he had previously stapled. When he looked back up, he found Jon had changed further. His hair had darkened further, his skin had shifted tone ever so slightly, and his Adam's apple had receded into his throat.
"All done?" Jon asked, briefly checking over Mikey's work. Satisfied, he motioned for Mikey to follow him, and exited his office down the hallway. Curious to see where Jon the principal was headed, Mikey quickly scampered behind.
