Sitting on the toilet in the women's room, Tina placed her face into her hands and began to cry. Jon hated his new body. As he spent the morning walking the halls of his school, he was seized by feelings of incredibly jealousy at the sight of almost every girl he passed. As the rest of her classmate's developed, Tina became more and more uncomfortable with her flat chest and squirrelly physique. Since the third grade, Tina had a deep crush on Jon. They used to talk everyday before class. She never admitted her interest in Jon and now it felt like it was too late. The second Karyn and Sarah's bodies started to develop, Jon appeared to lose all interest in Tina.
Now that Tina had Jon's mind, she knew that this wasn't the case. Jon didn't lose his interest in Tina, he never had an interest in her to begin with. Now he was stuck in the life of a awkward, petite girl with no friends, no relationship prospects, and no discernible skills. She felt like she was the epitome of uninteresting.
Tina cried into her hands for minutes. When she heard another girl enter and sit down in the stall beside her, Tina made a point of audibly sniffling. She hoped that someone would hear her and offer her some kind words, but three different girls entered the restroom and left without saying a word to her. "Maybe everyone is preoccupied with the changes in their bodies" she thought. But no, in the back of her mind, she knew that this was how her life had always been.
She wiped the tears from her face and build up the courage to walk back into the school. Tina couldn't live another day in this life. She was determined to turn her situation around. "Jon" she thought, "Jon can fix this." Maybe the power of the stone could give her the life she always wanted.
