At the moment of Mikey's wish, Linda Madison had managed to lurch purposefully down the block in search of new apparel. As the image of his former mother popped into Mikey's head, she was crossing the lawn of a house he didn't recognize, entering through the front door without any hesitation or difficulty. Linda made her way up the stairs, entering into messy bedroom.
Scooping up and handful of wrinkled clothing from the floor, Mikey's mother stripped off her business suit and donned a stained sleeveless shirt and a pair of boxers. As she completed her outfit, the trance seemed broken, and the forty two year old woman gave a long yawn before collapsing on the mattress that apparently served as the room's bed.
The makeshift bed had already been occupied, however, and as Linda began to snore a teenage boy began to shift out from underneath the blankets and the middle aged woman. The rather large young man eventually emerged, his struggle to get up waking neither Linda from her slumber or himself from his strange trance. The boy, who upon inquiry Mikey learned was incidentally named Mike Matthews, set out at a slow but deliberate pace out of his room.
Mikey, for his part, was intrigued. Apparently his wish caused a sort of chain reaction, where the displaced person would displace someone in turn. Part of Mikey was horrified, but a curiosity to see how things transpired overruled his shock. After all, he could reverse the wish at any time, and in the meantime he could watch as the various victims of the wish assimilate into each other's roles.
The mental image conjured by the stone was still going, and Mikey noticed that someone was calling Linda's name. The shouting grew louder, and Mikey was surprised to recognize the voice of his former Aunt Sharon. A moment later Sharon entered the room, and Mikey noticed how she had bulked up a bit, as well as losing a few years. Mikey realized that Sharon had most likely replaced that Biff fellow, who in turn had taken his mother's life.
"Wake up, you asshole!" Sharon said, shaking Linda vigorously. Linda only roused slightly, grumbling something Mikey couldn't make out. "Come on, man, get up! You're about to be late for school. If you're late again, Williams will flunk you! An if you're flunked, you'll be kicked off the team."
"Alright, alright, I'm up," Linda said groggily. "Jesus, Sharon, who are you, my mom?"
"If I was your mother, I'd have killed myself long ago from shame," Sharon growled. "Come on, you got three minutes."
Mikey dismissed the image with a brief wish, figuring that Linda's new life would be mundane for the next while. Turning back to his handheld TV, Mikey got another idea. "I wish that the television would have a small knob on it, which would allow me to switch between each person effected by my wish. The dial appeared, and Mikey found with a quick twist that it did indeed, rotate between Jon, Sharon, Biff, Linda, and the other Mike. Satisfied, Mikey turned it back to his former brother, to take a closer look at his progress
