The person who now stood in front of the class was none other than Zoe Madison, Mikey's older sister. She was now dressed very similarly to what Ms. Warren had worn, with a tight sleeveless turtleneck and a slitted skirt reaching mid thigh. Her face, usually covered in dark make up and piercings, now had only some subtle cosmetics and a pair of large hoop earrings. But the starkest contrast was the fact that the usually temperamental Zoe was now beaming at the class, going through the lesson plan with even greater enthusiasm than the original.
Mikey's head spun, his young mind trying to figure out what was going on. Whoever the had been replaced by the wish would in turn replace someone else, he had figured that much out this morning, but if so then the chain should have completed when that Yukio girl filled Jon's vacant spot. And yet here was Zoe, who as of this morning was unaffected by the wish, clearly living the life of someone else. Mikey tried in vain to think of how this happened, some missing link, a error in the wording of the wish.
Frustrated, Mikey turned back to the small television, where Jon sat. By now his hair was voluminous and glossy, and was down to his shoulder blades and a bronze color. His nose had also shrunken down, becoming petite and muted.
Just then Vincent Steel reentered the room, and Jon puckered his lips in a mock kiss as he passed into his office. Strangely, after Vincent had reentered his office Jon's expression seemed to remain, and it took a moment for Mikey to realize his lips had had plumped out into a thick bowed shape. After a moment, Jon stood and swayed down the hall, to a place that filled Mikey with a mix of amusement and concern...
