As Benny reached for the phone, he aged a little more, becoming 15 years old, and while still looking more male than female, his hips were a bit wider and his waist was a bit narrower. And his hair was a little longer too.
He had no idea how he could have forgotten about his wedding anniversary. This one was going to be special, since it was their very first one. He paused, feeling that there was something wrong with that, but then just shrugged it off.
Benny made the call, then waited for an answer.
"Geno's, authentic Italian restaurant," came a man's voice over the phone.
"Yes, I'd like to make a reservation."
"For whom?"
"Whitefield."
"Mm hm," the man said, before pausing. Then he said "We already have a reservation under that name."
"You do? When was it made?"
"It seems it was made about a month ago. Do you still intend on ..."
"Oh yes. Definitely," Benny said. How did he forget that he made a reservation?
"For seven o'clock?" the man asked.
"That's fine," Benny said.
"Then we'll see you here at seven."
"Thank you," Benny said, before disconnecting the call.
He put the phone down, feeling confused. Apparently, he had already made a reservation, but for some reason, he couldn't remember making it. But what did it matter? He needed something special for his wedding anniversary and he got it. So he was being a little forgetful. So what? It was just part of getting older.
