"What do you think?" Sarah asked, holding up a sexy lacy bra. "Do you think Emma would like seeing me in this?" she asked, referring to Emma Meadows, who she was dating.
"I zeenk Emma weel luv eet," Nicole Lisle said, with her heavy French accent. Nicole was a freshman who moved here from France the previous summer and was quickly assimilated into Sarah's entourage.
Sarah smiled. "Of course she will."
Mikey kept walking through the neighborhood until he arrived at a bright new house, not far from the Sanders' house. He still felt like something was wrong, but he just couldn't stop and ponder about it. He had an overwhelming urge to enter that house and find a new outfit to wear. He could figure out what was wrong later.
He entered the house without a problem, then headed to the room of Nicole Lisle.
Once there, he stripped out of his clothes, throwing them (and the wishing stone) under the bed. He then preceded to pull out and put on a set of pink undergarments and then pulled on a white tube top and a pair of tight jeans over it. After putting on all his clothes, he stepped over to the vanity and applied his make-up, then put on a pair of open-toed 6-inch heels.
He blinked, then smiled at himself in the mirror. But then he frowned, feeling that something was wrong ... or maybe just odd? He had trouble thinking in English for some reason. He had this feeling that it shouldn't have been this hard. But then he started thinking in a different language and it was way easier. It was French. Why was it easier to think in French? Shaking his head, feeling confused, he headed to the door, meaning to leave. But he wasn't exactly sure where he was going.
At that moment, his cell phone rang. He picked it up, not sure who it could be. He was feeling very disoriented for some reason. "Elloo?" he asked, speaking with a thick French accent, just like Nicole.
The woman on the other end of the call spoke in perfect French and Mikey understood her perfectly. Then he proceeded to talk to her, even though he didn't know who she was ... at first. The more he heard the woman's voice, the easier it was to recall who this was. It was his Aunt Yvette. Of course! How could he forget that?
Apparently, Mikey's aunt seemed a little confused the more she talked, saying that she must have had the wrong number. Either that or it was a bad connection, because it sounded like she was talking to a boy.
Mikey was confused as well. Why was his aunt acting so strangely? He didn't have a long time to ponder on that, though, because he was getting another call. "Sorry, Aunt Yvette. Someone else is trying to call me. I will talk to you later," he said to her in perfect French.
He disconnected his call, then answered the call from the other person. "Elloo?" he asked, wondering who it could be.
"Mikey, where are you?" a girl's voice asked.
"Ooo eez zeece?" Mikey asked.
"What do you mean 'who is this'? It's me. Sarah. We're already at the mall. Where are you?"
"Zee mull?" Mikey asked. He tried to think, suddenly knowing where the mall was. How could he forget? He went there almost every day. Right?
He still had no clue who this Sarah girl was, but he knew where the mall was, and if he was supposed to be there, then that's where he was going to go.
"I weel bee zare soon," Mikey said, then he disconnected the call.
"Is he coming?" Melissa asked.
"Yeah, he's coming," Sarah answered.
"What is it with everyone today? Gladys doesn't come, then Mikey?"
Sarah shrugged. "Maybe they had something important to do first."
"More important than shopping? I don't think so," Melissa said, turning around and checking out a sexy miniskirt on the clothing rack.
