"It's about 4:30 right now," Lucy said, checking the time. By now, she was about 20 years old and her skin was a bit paler. "The club doesn't usually get crowded until about seven, so that'll give you girls enough time to show Biff around. That is, if you intend on coming back."
"Of course we're coming back," Joni said. No way was she going back home, at least not until way later that night.
"Okay, come on, Biff," Linda said. "Jayne's car is parked outside."
The four Goths left the building, then headed to Jayne's car, which brought back the unpleasant memories of what happened earlier with Sarah McMillan.
"Did you know that your car is ..." Biff started, noticing the damage to the back bumper.
"Yeah, I know. It happened on the way here. It was that stupid bitch Sarah McMillan. She was too busy goofing off with her hair to see where she was driving," Jayne said.
Suddenly, a feeling arose within Biff at the mention of Sarah's name. He knew her, didn't he? But that couldn't be, could it? He was new to town. Before coming, he only knew one person - his cousin Lucy. But the feeling of familiarity when thinking of this Sarah girl was still there and it was strong. Jayne said the girl was a bitch. Obviously, they didn't get along. Why would Biff know someone like that? He shook his head, then got into the car.
Jayne started up the car, then drove out onto the street.
"So," Linda spoke up. "Where do you want to go first? You've already seen The Spiked Pit, which is by far the best joint in town."
"How about the school?" Biff asked. "If I'm going to be confined there most of the time, I might as well get to know my dungeon."
"Alright, sounds good," Joni said.
And with that, Jayne drove to the school.
Once they got there, they had to pick the lock to get inside, but it was no problem. Jayne had done this sort of thing before.
"So what exactly were you wanting to look for in here?" Joni asked.
"How about the library?" Biff asked.
Once in the library, Biff searched for all the gothic fiction he could find. Despite the library's limited selection and labyrinthine structure, he managed to track down works from all the greats ... Shelley, Radcliffe, James, Walpole. Soon he had created several large stacks of books. As he sought his quarries, Biff began to change a bit. His muscular physique began to fade and the hair atop his head began to lengthen and darken, as the hair on his legs and arms disappeared completely.
"Is this all?" Joni asked sarcastically, though her eyes showed she was amazed Biff could find so many non-crappy books in the library.
"Indeed, I believe this should supplement the collection I was forced to leave behind for now," Biff said, his voice still somewhat deadpan.
"Alright then, let's load up the books. Unless there's anything else, let's ditch this place," Joni said, figuring that the librarian Mrs. Finch and the few students who frequented the library would never miss the volumes.
"No, there is nothing else," Biff stated flatly. "So let us be off."
And with that, the four of them gathered the books and left the library behind.
As the group headed towards Jayne's car, they discussed where they could head next. "Oh, I think I know the perfect place we could go next. You're just going to love it," Linda said.
They reloaded back into Jayne's car with Joni in the front passenger seat, which left Linda and Biff together in the back seat. "Trust me Biff, this is a place where people like us can go and not have to worry about having to deal with the sheep," Linda continued.
Jayne and Joni exchanged glances. There were only two places that Linda could have been talking about. Either The Occult Stop or The Witch's Brew. But which one was Linda talking about?
"Okay, Jayne, take us to ..." Linda began, not noticing how she had lost another year of her life, becoming 16 years old.
