Joni, Linda, and Jay left the house and decided to head to The Occult Stop, a shop that sold gothic merchandise.

After walking for ten minutes, they finally arrived at the shop and then went inside. Joni and Jay headed to the music section to check out the newest CD releases - Joni preferring heavy metal music and Jay preferring techno trance. Meanwhile, Linda ended up heading towards the literary section. It was strange. She was about to check out the memorabilia that the shop had to offer (like she usually did when coming here), but when she noticed the aisle filled with books, she changed her course and headed to the literary section instead.

Another ten minutes later, all three of them met at the checkout counter. Joni and Jay found CD's that were to their liking, and Linda found a couple of books.

"I didn't know you liked to read," Joni said to Linda.

"I don't. But ... I don't know ... I think I might give it a try."

"What did you get?" Jay asked.

She showed them the books. Two of them were Anne Rice novels and the third was a collection of Edgar Allan Poe stories. She didn't know where it was coming from, but the moment she spotted the books, she just had to get them. As it turned out, it was a characteristic from her former life as Linda Madison, who loved to read. Of course, the original Linda only read romance novels and the new Linda chose to read gothic novels, but still ... she had a desire to read for fun, something that the original Athena didn't.

They all bought their items and then left the shop, making sure to say goodbye to the owner of the store (Scarlet Anderson) before they left.

And the moment they left the building, Linda's age dropped some more, to the age of 19 years old. Jay's age had already stopped at 15, over an hour ago.
