"I'm sorry I'm late," Tiffany said, rushing into the law office. She had no idea what had come over her that morning. First, she thought that she needed to go to the high school, which was ridiculous. She was a 22-year old woman. She had no need to go to the high school, unless she needed to be there because Jon got in trouble again, but she was sure that that wasn't the reason. Then, after she realized that the school wasn't the place she needed to be that morning, it took her nearly forever to figure out where she did have to be. How could her secretary job at the law office completely slip her mind like that? She had been working there for ... well, a while now.
"No problem, Tiffany," said Gary Fiennes, her boss. "It's a slow day."
"Still, I should be able to get here on time. But thanks for being understanding anyway," she said, with a smile.
Gary smiled back, then went into his office, leaving Tiffany to sit down behind the secretary's desk and sort through all of the documents she needed to fill out and file.
After setting her purse to the side, the phone rang. She picked up the phone, not realizing how her hot pink fingernails were now painted with a more professional shade of pink, then said "Sherman and Fiennes," stating the name of the law office.
