Mikey headed downstairs and eagerly looked forward to eating some breakfast. He was practically starving. And everything seemed normal, until he entered the kitchen and spotted a girl he didn't know wearing one of his mom's outfits.

She turned around and smiled at him, holding a plate of food. "Good morning."

"Uh ... good morning?"

"Here you go, sweetie," she said, putting the plate down on the table.

Mikey hesitantly sat down at the table, then looked back at the teenage girl who was acting just like his mom. Could this have something to do with his wish? He only wished for Jon to wear someone else's clothes, not anyone else. But there this unknown girl was, acting and dressing just like his mom. It had to have something to do with his wish.

"Uh ... Mom?"

"Mom? Do I look like a mother to you?" she asked.

Physically, no. But she was wearing his mom's clothes.

"What do I call you then?"

She looked at him funny, then said "Tiffany, of course. That is my name, after all."

"Right. Sorry, I still feel a little tired," Mikey said, lying.

"Well then, this food should wake you up."

Mikey looked down at the plate of food in front of him, then slowly began to eat it. It was just as good as something his mom made. But that was because his mom made it before calling up to him, then heading out.

Tiffany checked her watch. "Shit, I've gotta get to school soon." She suddenly felt embarrassed. "Sorry for the language, honey. But I've gotta get to school, like, right now." But something about that statement seemed wrong. Was it school that she needed to get to, or somewhere else? "Hurry up and finish your breakfast. You need to leave for your bus."

"Already? School doesn't start for another hour," Mikey said.

"Now, young man. Get going. I can't stay here much longer."

Mikey groaned, then finished his meal. And then he headed back upstairs to get dressed.

The moment Mikey entered his bedroom, Jon had finally arrived at school and had begun to take notice of the distinct cliques that he saw milling about outside, taking an interest in the Goth crowd, in particular.

Mikey thought about using the stone to figure out if this Tiffany girl had something to do with his wish, but then figured that it must have. He didn't need to make a wish to find out. And he decided to let things unfold for now, instead of putting a stop to what was happening. He could always just do it later.

So after getting dressed, Mikey stashed the stone away in his room and headed downstairs with his schoolbag. Tiffany was still there, looking really impatient, and when she saw Mikey, she urged him to leave for the bus, saying she really needed to leave. Mikey knew that he'd be waiting for the bus for almost twenty minutes, but just shrugged and left the house anyway.

Soon after, Tiffany left the house herself and was about to walk to the high school, but then thought better of it and took the car. For a brief moment, she felt as if the car wasn't hers, but whose else would it be?

Tiffany drove in the direction of the high school, but the closer she got, the more wrong it all felt. Why was she driving to the high school again? She couldn't remember. She knew she had to be somewhere, that it was really important, but she just couldn't remember where. She pulled her car to the side of the road and thought about it.

Almost two hours later, back at the high school, Jon was in his Algebra class, easily finishing a pop quiz, way faster than anyone else in the class.

"Fucking retards," Jon mumbled under his breath.

"Ahem!" Mr. Kratz cleared his through, indicating a desire for silence in the classroom. Jon eagerly complied, turned his finished quiz in, then asked to be excused to go freshen up. A look like his had to be maintained.
