Lucy searched her room again, uttering a few curses as her hunt again turned up fruitless.

"What are you looking for?" the twins asked together, standing at the door. Lucy had agonized over whether to send them off to school today, as more likely than not their three guides were taking a day off to recover from their ordeal yesterday and she knew all to well of how brutal high schools can be to new students without any connections. In the end she decided it was best to send them off anyway, as Beth and Christine were not so fragile as to be psychologically scarred by one day of school.

"Linda's necklace," she answered them after making one last sweep of the room. "I somehow managed to misplace the pendant sometime last night. I was hoping to send it off with the two of you, in case Linda did show up today. Uh, where the hell did I put it. Last time I saw it was at the... the police station! I must have lost it in the parking lot when I went to see the girls get out of their! Well, I suppose I'll just have to stop by and retrieve it. Maybe Call has seen it. But first off, let's get you two off to school."


Lewis's trek had certainly been one of the more roundabout ones, going across half the town and through a local park before finally coming to a house only a few doors down from his original house. He entered the luxurious McMillian home, making his way to the master bedroom. He pulled off his now quite muddy clothing, donning nothing more than a rather revealing teddy that showed off his masculine features ridiculously before making his way to the four poster bed and settling in. As he entered, Susan, former lingerie model and matriarch of the McMillian house, rose bleary eyed and set out into the early morning.


The Pendant, meanwhile, had not remained long in the police station's parking lot for long after Lucy Pierce replaced it. Its retriever, however, was not her, nor Linda or anyone else who had any idea about it, having merely picked the trinket up out of curiosity as they had passed through the previous night. And this circumstantial owner just so happened to be none other than...
