Gillian DeVries was having an early morning coffee, waiting for word on her missing daughter Linda when she found herself fall into a trance, abandon her steaming beverage, and walk out the door in search of a change of clothes.
However, the forty two year old woman didn't go far, however, as she soon entered the neighboring Gates household, entered the first bedroom she saw, and pulled on a set of rocket ship pajamas, which should have been far to small for her. five year old Benny rose from his bed just as Gillian shuffled over to lay in it, her mind turning to matters of superheroes and playgrounds.
The young boy traveled listlessly for a few hours, until he came upon the Whitefield residence, where he unhesitatingly entered, paying no heed to the trio of women confronting a young Gothic girl. He made his way to the master bedroom. He went to one of the wardrobes and pulled out a pair of nude stockings and a bright yellow sun dress. The young boy expertly applied subtle makeup to his face and inspected himself. After a moment he realized he was furious at his daughter at the moment, and quickly headed out to the living room to give her a good talking to.
By the time Benny arrived, the heated discussion was already under way. "...we know all about the club, and the concert, and the car," Tiffany Madison was saying, "Zoe told us everything."
"Zoe?" Joni said in a mix of surprise and fury. How did that bitch know about the concert, or the Spiked Pit for that matter?
"Indeed," Agatha DeVries agreed, who by now was looking to be around thirty, "How could you girls do such things? Staying out all night without so much as a phone call, going to a late night concert, brazenly hitting poor Ms. Sanders' car..."
"Hitting her car?" Jayne interjected, "That whore hit us!"
"Yong lady," Benny said, no one paying any heed to his quite boyish voice, "you watch your-" A loud ring interrupted the new matriarch of the Whitefield's rebuke. Benny clicked over to the phone, his heels barely keeping on his tiny feet. "Whitefield residence," Benny said pleasantly after hitting the speaker button.
"Oh Mrs. Whitefield? Thank God I managed to get a hold of one of you!" came breathy voice on the other end, "This is Lucy Pierce, I run the club your daughters frequent. I was just calling to explain last night's events. You see, while your daughters were stopping by my establishment, I ran into a bit of a dilemma. You see, two of my cousins were flying in from up north for an extended visit, but my car is in the shop and so they volunteered to be of service. However once we had arrived we learned their flight had been delayed, and continued to get pushed back later and later until it was far into the wee hours of the morning. Since we had thought it to be a rather short trip all three of them had left their purses with me, and by the time we returned I convinced them it was too late to try and contact you and told them I'd explain in the morning. However when I called the other two houses their was no response. Do you happen to know where Mrs. DeVries and Madison are?"
"Uh, yes, actually, I do, but I think perhaps it would be easier if I passed along the information," Benny said, a little flabbergasted. "What about them hitting Zoe Sanders car?"
"Well I don't know about that, but they were hit in the air port parking lot by someone by that name," Lucy explained.
"I see," Benny replied, "Thank you for the information."
"It was my pleasure," Lucy said, "Would you mind putting on one of the girls?"
"Oh, of course," Benny said, picking up the receiver and handing it to Joni, who was the nearest of the girls.
Stacy found herself walking into a Gym's locker room, where she found a crumpled heap of clothing on the floor. She put it on, not realizing she was adorning herself with two separate people's outfits. Suddenly Stacy felt powerful, in charge, and at the same time very confused, as if parts of her were conflicting with themselves.
In the Locker Room's showers, both Biff Meadows and Chris Freeman, star quarterback and receiver for the local high school set out into the city, not noticing their stark nudity, or anything else for that matter.
"Hello?" Joni said, making sure the phone was off speaker and walking outside, leaving her friends and their rather sheepish mothers behind.
"I believe a thank you is in order," Lucy announced.
"I-thank you," Joni managed, still shaken from the ordeal, "How did you know?"
"Your friend Linda noticed her mother's car in the driveway and gave me a call," the woman replied, "You're just lucky I'm a good lier."
"Oh, thank you so much! I swear for a minute I thought my mom was going to fucking kill me," Joni said, "First the tickets, and now this? I don't know how we could ever repay you..."
"Well their is one thing that might help," Lucy said. "I wasn't totally lying about my cousins coming in. Their names are Vanessa and Clair, they're twins, and they're about your age. They just arrived last night, and they'll be staying with me until their mom gets out of the hospital, which given that she was literally in a train wreck could be awhile. I was hoping you could maybe show them around, help them with their classes and such. You should like them, they have very similar interests to you and the girls..."
"Oh yes, we'd be happy to," Joni said, glad to help someone who had done so much for her and Linda and Jayne, "Wouldn't want them to be shown around by some idiot, would we?"
"Glad to hear it," Lucy said, "Hey, unless your parents decide you ground you anyways, maybe we can meet up at lunch and I can introduce you to Vanessa and Clair. You could even show them some of the hot spots around town."
"Alright, sounds great, I'll see you then," Joni said, turning off the phone and returning to her friends and their mothers.
Meanwhile, two young men had made their way naked and dripping wet to a dark building near the gym advertising itself as a club of some sort. They made their room through the dimly lit main part of the club to the apartment connected to it.
They ignored the woman in Victorian era clothing, who had just hung up the phone, making their way to the guest room, where they raided a pair of suitcases for a pair of brooding outfits. Downstairs, Vanessa and Clair, who had just a moment ago been eating breakfast, stopped what they were doing and set out into the city they were completely unfamiliar with. The identical twins parted company, seeking new clothing as Biff and Chris Pierce went to talk with their cousin.
