Tiffany Madison paced her living room, absolutely seething in anger. Her daughter was still not back from wherever in God's name she was, and it was nearly four thirty! Glanced at the clock for the hundredth time, and barely suppressed a yawn. She sat down on the couch, rubbing her temples with manicured hands.

Why would Joni do this? Tiffany knew the young woman was hardly the least difficult person to raise, but still... And Mikey had been acting strangely as well, though that may have been just because his sister had left him to fend for himself for the night.

Tiffany yawned again, and settled a bit deeper back into the couch. She had never realized it to be so comfortable until now... well perhaps she could rest for just a moment...

By the time the concert had let out, Joni and her friends were exhausted, but hardly sorry for it. Linda was grinning from ear to ear, while Jayne could hardly keep her mind off of a boy with a Mohawk she had met halfway through.

As she hopped in the back seat, Joni paused a minute, savoring the moment. Despite her shitty day earlier, tonight was definitely one of the best of her life. She felt unusually happy, and also she felt strangely... complete. She got in the car, fully ready to head to Jayne's and call it a night.

The trio returned to the cybergoth's house and sneaked in without incident, and the three managed to squeeze onto Jayne's double bed.

The following morning Joni awoke, and rose quietly as not to disturb her friends from their slumber. She silently dressed in her clothes from the previous night, and slipped downstairs to find something to eat. There, however, Joni found a surprise waiting for her...
