Immediately after Mikey's wish, Fred disappeared from the class. He wondered what happened to him, but then figured that since Fred would now be Jon's age, he'd be in high school and not elementary school.
Since high school started earlier than elementary school, Jon was already into his second class of the day: Creative Writing, which was one of his favorite classes. Not only because he liked the subject, but also because his boyfriend was in the class. Fred Orr had been going out with Jon for at least three months by then. They revealed to each other at a party that they both were gay. It was fairly obvious for Fred, as he liked to dress in girl's clothes and wear make-up. Sometimes people thought that he was a girl, since he looked so much like one. But for Jon, it wasn't as obvious. They couldn't, of course, make their relationship public, so they usually spent their dates alone with each other.
