Jessie looked down at her hands. One held the stone, the other held the transformation gun that Michelle had wished up. She knew that this reality was not supposed to be, but it was still real. As real as any of the other realities created and destroyed by the stone. So, why not keep it the way it was? Maybe things were better this way.
The phone rang and Jessie answered it. "Hi, Sarah." It was Sarah McMillan, one of Jessie's best friends from high school. Even though they went to separate colleges now, they still stayed in touch with each other.
