"What on Earth are you talking about!" yelled Jon. "She's not a pig. She's a girl! She's... she's.... she's my friend..." tears began to pour from his eyes, soaking his face.
"Now, now... Don't get hysterical" said the man. "We'll find a nice new home for your friend. A city is just not a good place for a pig. Too small and cramped. We'll be sure this big fella goes to a nice farm with plenty of space mud piles to run around in."
Jon looked up at the man in horror.
"Don't look at me like that" said the man. "Pigs like to roll around in the mud and all that. She'll get plenty of slop to eat too." The man looked at his watch. "Whoa! look at the time. It's nearly 11pm. You should go home. If you want you can visit your friend in the pound tomorrow. It'll take a day or two to get her situated with a new home."
Jon obediently left Karyn's old house and began walking home. As he passed Karyn locked up the truck he said "Don't worry Karyn. I'll find you. And together, we'll stop Mikey, no matter how smart he is." Karyn sobbed. Squeals and Snorts followed Jon as he went down the block and turned the corner.
As soon as Jon was out of seeing and hearing distance, the man who was in charge smiled. He ordered himself "return to normal" His body and clothes twisted and changed. Karyn's eye's widened in horror as she recognized Mikey standing before her. Her squeals and snorts became even more hysterical and she slammed herself into the sides of her cage, hoping against hope that she could break free.
Mikey walked to the cab of the truck and ordered his partners to go on without him. As the truck started up he told Karyn "This will be so much easier if you didn't fight so much. Go to sleep Karyn, and don't wake up until somebody tries to wake you."
Karyn instantly became woozy and her squeals became quieter. She drunkenly slammed against her cage one last time before she lost consciousness and fell to the floor, fast asleep.
