"Here's the trick," Mikey said, firing at the doll. Suddenly, right before their very eyes, the doll grew in size until it was as big as a person. Then it shimmered, as plastic became skin and hair. The doll had become Jon, Mikey's older brother.
"Wow! That was awesome!" Ricky said. "How'd you do that?"
Jon grabbed his head. He was feeling dizzy. When his head cleared, his eyes fell on the wishing stone, which was still in Mikey's hand. "Mikey. You have to give me the stone back. It's dangerous. It ..."
"Be quiet."
Jon stopped talking. Or rather, he tried to talk, but nothing happened. He was still under the influence of one of Mikey's previous wishes, the one that makes people obey Mikey's commands.
"What's he talking about?" Ricky asked. "What stone?"
Mikey turned to Ricky. "Forget about the stone. It doesn't matter."
Suddenly, a look of confusion came over Ricky. "Stone? What stone?"
Mikey smiled to himself. He apparently could command anyone, not just his family. But Ricky was his best friend. He wouldn't want to do anything to him, so he decided to not "command" him anymore. Or use the stone and gun on him.
He looked back at Jon, sitting silently on the floor. What should Mikey do with him?
