Mikey didn't notice that Jon had a plan to grab the stone from Mikey's pocket. When Mikey felt this, he jumped back and aimed the gun at Jon. But just before Mikey fired, Jon held the stone up and the shot hit the stone. A loud explosion followed, breaking the stone and the gun.
What happened next shocked the both of them. The gun was charred black, obviously useless. But the stone still existed, but not in the way it was before. Thanks to the shot that hit it, the stone was now lying across the floor in small shard-like pieces. Mikey picked up one of them and tried to make a wish, hoping that it could still grant wishes.
