He crouched down by Tiffany and calmly asked where she put the stone. She answered by saying, "I gave it to Karyn. She asked to see it and said she'd give it back soon." Tiffany suddenly brightened up, smiling at Mikey. "Want me to call her and ask for it back?"
Mikey nodded, wondering once again why the stone had decided to keep Karyn as Jon's... Tiffany's best friend. She ran over to the phone, dialing a number quickly and chatting happily for a minute before Mikey cleared his throat and reminded her of why she was calling. She still wasn't the brightest person in the world. "Karyn... can I have the pretty rock back? I need it. I... um... what? Oh! I need it for my new collection. It's going to be the first pretty thing in my collection! Okay, thank you! You're the best big sis! Love you!"
Tiffany beamed at Mikey, happy to help her brother. "She's coming over right now! Maybe she can stay the night and we can play dress up again. Mommy!" She ran off to tell their mom about her new idea, leaving Mikey to open the door moments later for their neighbor. Karyn accosted him the moment he opened the door, surprising and scaring him. "What happened to Jon?! What did you do?"
Mikey stared up at her, confused and taking the opportunity to lie. "Jon? Who are you talking about? Did you come to see Tiffany? She's in the kitchen right now, I think she wants you to spend the night." He pointed back into the house, stepping to the side for Karyn to enter. She stormed past him, glaring back at him for a moment, not fully believing his story. He smiled as he watched her give the rock back to Tiffany, who would soon return it to him.
