Mikey almost woke up late the next day, definitely too late to see any of Jon's night-time changes before hurrying off to class. The school day was once again boring and uneventful, and once again Mikey rushed home to see what had happened to Jon today.
Jon was once again on the couch, but today he was wearing a dress Mikey didn't recognize, a long, frilly pink number that the wish must have come up with. He lay curled up on the couch crying, with their mom and dad nearby trying and failing to comfort him as he recounted his day through sobs.
"And then... they called me a little faggot who needs to go back to grade school... and..." Mikey didn't want to hear anymore, and went up to his room, smiling as he recounted some of the similar torments Jon had piled on him, and thought that Jon was finally getting paid back. By the end of the day Jon had calmed down, and now followed their sister Zoe around, bouncing around like a child and asking question after question, switching between that and begging her to let him play dressup with her Goth clothes.
He seemed so innocent and happy now, always smiling in wonderment at things that were old to Mikey and definitely had been old to him, watching cartoons and giggling madly at the childish jokes, curled up on the couch with one of Zoe's old dolls.
Nothing of interest happened the rest of the day, and Mikey could hardly sleep because of the excitement of wondering what would change about Jon first physically.
