After Jon (in Clara's body) left the house, it was just Mikey and his babysitter Clara (who was in Jon's body).
"So, you're in what grade, Mikey?"
"You know I'm in ..." Then he stopped himself. It was Jon's voice he heard, so his first thought was that it was Jon, even though he knew it wasn't. "I'm in fifth grade." His babysitter didn't seem to notice Mikey's slip up, fortunately.
"Do you have any homework? Because you really ought to do it now." It was weird hearing Jon talk like a girl. But, of course, it wasn't really Jon, was it?
"No, I don't have any," Mikey lied. He wanted to keep playing his video game, maybe catch up to where he was before the power went out. Outside he could still hear the thunder rolling in the distance. He hoped that the power wouldn't go out again.
"You can't lie to me. Everyone has homework. You better get to it."
Mikey grumbled. He wanted to play games, not do homework. But then Mikey got an idea: Why not use the stone? With the stone, he could do anything he wanted.
