As Mikey did that, he decided that he wanted to punish Jon some more. He held the wishing rock and said, "I wish Jon would act more like the girl. I also wish that while only Jon and I know that he is really a boy, everyone else thinks that Jon is a girl named Janet."
Mikey didn't notice any immediate change in Jon.
"Thank you for taking out the garbage, Mikey." Jon said, "I hope it wasn't too much for you." Jon added because Mikey had much fewer chores.
Mikey was pleased to notice that Jon sounded much more like a girl than a boy. Smiling he said, "Isn't it about time for you to start dinner?"
Jon looked up at the clock. It was almost time to start dinner, not that he wanted to admit that fact to Mikey.
"Not yet, Mikey." Jon said. He then wandered away, letting Mikey continue his video game.
Jon waited a couple of minutes before entering the kitchen to start dinner. Before he got started, the phone rang.
"Hello." Jon said as he answered the phone.
"Janet. I will be about a half hour late tonight. I thought I had best call to let you know so you wouldn't start dinner too soon." Jon heard his mother say. "Got to go. Take care Janet and don't let your brother get you down. I know having a younger brother is hard on a girl your age. I really appreciate everything you do around the house. Bye Honey." She finished before hanging up.
'Janet? Girl my age? What did Mikey do to me?' Jon wondered.
"Oh Mikey." Jon called out in his sweetest voice. "I need your help for a moment, if you don't mind."
