Mikey held the wishing rock and said, "I wish that Jon had to do all of my girlie chores."
With that wish, Jon stopped teasing his little brother and headed off to do his new chores. Mikey smiled that he had gotten out of doing his girlie chores and headed off to play video games. It didn't take long for Mikey to be deeply involved in the video game de jour .
It was thus a surprise, when the game suddenly paused.
Mikey looked up and saw his bigger brother standing there. Mikey was glad that he was finally taller than his mother, now by a full inch, but Jon towered over Mikey by at least six inches and out weighed Mikey by about fifty pounds of muscle.
"Shrimp." Jon said to his little brother. "Mom will be home soon. I know you don't like doing chores, but you have to take out the garbage. You had best do it before Mom gets home."
"Why do I have to do it?" Mikey asked, wondering why this chore was still his.
"Because it is your only chore and Mom expects you to have it done when she gets home. You know you were supposed to do it this morning but didn't."
"What if I don't want to do it?" Mikey asked.
"Mom left me in charge and I say you will do it Jon said, towering over Mikey."
"Well I don't want to and you can't make me." Mikey said. But then Mikey wasn't always the sharpest tool in the shed.
"Oh Yes I can." Jon said as he picked up Mikey, took the game controller from his hands and added, "If you aren't done in five minutes, I will turn off the game, without saving, and you will lose everything."
With his feet dangling in the air, Mikey knew he had lost. Grumbling, he went to take out the garbage.
"Why do I have to do this stupid chore?" he asked himself, once he was safely out of Jon's hearing. "Just because he is bigger than me makes Jon think he can lord it over me." Mikey said as he slammed the garbage into the trash can. "If I was bigger than him, he wouldn't be able to worse me." Mikey concluded as he re-enter his home.
"That's it!" He said, remembering the wishing stone.
