... Fred heard a cough outside the room. He opened the door to see Sarah standing there, listening. He had forgotten that his sister Sarah was home sick with a cold and might catch him. (They had different last names, but were sister and brother--see other branch.)
Sarah said "I can't believe you, Fred. Do you ever watch any show that isn't several decades old? Mary Tyler Moore, Partridge Family, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island?"
"There's nothing on that's new right now" replied Fred. He really didn't want to talk about it--if he did he might have to talk about Mikey, and it would be hard explaining to Sarah just what he was doing giving Mikey commands to change shape.
"Give me a break. We both know that's a special television that always shows things you want to see."
"Uh... yeah" said Fred. It was strange--it was if now that he wished the TV showed what he wanted to see, Sarah thought it had always been like that.
"Oh wait," said Sarah. "You're using your power to command Mikey again."
Hmm. Fred had wished he could command Mikey, and Sarah had thought it had always been that way too! "Um, sis... could you do me a biiiig favor and tell me where that power came from?"
"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Sarah sneezed. "You've always had absolute control over Mikey, just like he's always been able to change form. Maybe you should make him turn into a doctor to examine your head. Or at least make him turn into something more modern. There are lots of shows. Sabrina the Teenage Witch."
"They cancelled that" said Fred.
"Charmed. Lots of Star Treks. Justice League. One Piece. Buffy."
"They cancelled that too" said Fred.
"Well, even if they cancelled them, they're still good ideas. Have fun with Mikey, I'm really not feeling very good and I'm going to lie down again."
As Sarah left, Fred thought to himself that that was rather strange. But here he was, with the ability to do anything at all. "I wish I was old enough to have a girlfriend" he said, while holding the stone. "And Mikey... turn into a girl from a more modern TV show, and act as my girlfriend until I say otherwise. I wish that while you are doing that everyone else will think you're my girlfriend and won't notice that you're a character from a TV show."
So Mikey transformed into....
