Once again the rock warmed in Mikey's habd and Gina's face became quizzical then turned back to Ms. Warren.
Mikey was relieved and glanced at his rock with relief. He needed time to think. He raised his hand and after getting Ms. Warren's attention was allowed to go to the bathroom.
Mikey thought he now had powers like a superhero, but for now only X-ray vision.
In the bathroom, standing in front of the mirror he said aloud to himself, "Maybe I should wish to have all of Superman's powers?" Then hesitated, "But then I'd still look like a little kid."
A thought immediately popped into his head and he smiled broadly as he said "I wish I could make myself look like anybody I'd want to."
The now familiar warmth of the rock once again coursed through Mikey's hand and he said "Let's see how I look as Superman."
Mikey saw himself blur in the mirror and his perspective change. The next moment he was staring at a flesh and blood version of Superman.
"Wow, this is incredible." His new grown-up voice boomed out. "This rock really can do everything. And with that he placed the rock on the sink as he had no pockets and wanted to touch his face clothes and body.
Happy with his appearance he wanted to try another guise. "How about the Hulk." and once again Superman blurred to be replaced by the Hulk, so big his head almost touched the ceiling.
"Cool, maybe Batman next." And with that the Dark Knight replaced the Hulk.
"Gee, check out this cape." And Mikey swirled around knocking the rock off the sink and towards the stalls. "Oops, I'll get it." Mikey said aloud, then froze as he saw a hand from inside the stall pick it up.
"No need Mikey, I got it." The familiar voice of Fred Orr spoke out.
